That’s kinda’ how we feel about it.  Like we posted up, and lived in Vero Beach, Florida for one month and a day.  Crazy how time flies.  But, we got so much done and had a blast…  Here is a list of a whole bunch of memories, so that we never, ever forget :) Enjoy and add your own if you’ve got ‘em…

‘Member when…

• I got all excited about the Dirty Santa gift exchange and took the dinghy out in that crazy wind just to post the sign in the lounge?  And only 3 other people participated (love you, Sue)…
• JR drank all of Wade’s rum at our 3^rd Cruiser’s Happy Hour, and JR ran out of cash because he kept going to the soda machine to get more “pop?”
• Ed and Christine came to visit and got us blasted on Dark and Stormies at lunchtime?
• JR finished building his water maker?  And the 300 trips to Orchid Island Ace to get the final little fittings…

• We went over to Colleen Mae and played Farkle with Sea Major, and Mitchell made the Farkle comeback of the century?
• The pump-out boat promised to come because the broken part was being over-nighted but then didn’t show?
• We got up uber early to catch the 8:10 bus to Wal-Mart, but it came early so we missed it?
• Leo traded his Snuggie for a Sarong?

• That random guy came and tied up to our boat in the dark of the night?
• We met those crazy kids on Sea Major and instantly fell in love?
• Andrew at West Marine tutored JR in fishing rods and then promised to pick JR up to go fishing but didn’t ‘cause his boat trailer got jacked?
• Somebody got Dale and JR mixed up?
• JR went to the clinic ‘cause he didn’t feel good :(
• We had dinner with Magnolia and Eleanor Q and then they left and made it to the Bahamas while we were still in Vero?

• Natalie called and invited herself over at 8:30 at night!?
• We had sushi with Bob and Sue and ordered our beer by the bucket?
• That dude that fell out in the middle of the bus floor and smiled big when we asked him if he was alright?
• That guy that anchored in the channel?
• Natalie bought Leo some cat toys because she loves him (and misses her kitty boo)?

• The kayakers came through the mooring field all lit up and singing in a Christmas parade?
• Wade and Theresa had us over for supper and served it on BONE CHINA!?
• We had a car for a minute?
• Got in an argument driving with Nat and Mitchell and then they dropped us off at that thrift shop and we found JR’s wet suit for $2.99?

• That dang Basset Hound both irritated the bejesus out of me, and amused me at the same time?
• JR kept nagging me about putting my paddleboard on deck?
• I completed THREE boat sewing projects in one week?

• We ordered fleece sheets and everyone made fun of us for having them but then it got cold and we were like, “Ha ha.  Who’s laughing now!?”
• We dingied to the beach and JR was all nervous about leaving it unlocked?
• Those various sets of young cruisers came through and didn’t talk to us!?
• We saw the “Wrapper Trapper” at Mulligans and I thought it was the coolest thing ever?
• The guy at Lowes knew we were cruisers and picked us out again even after we had a car!?
• We were about to leave that first week?

• We searched everywhere at the beach for the public bathroom?
• I made JR go to the farmer’s market every Saturday except that one?
• Magnolia made us leave Cruiser’s Happy Hour early to go to dinner (we NEVER leave a party first :)?
• They sold palm trees at Home Depot?

• Wade and Theresa brought us cinnamon rolls for Christmas?
• The DJ effed up the New Year’s countdown?

• We lit sparklers on the deck at New Years and the grumpy guy made us throw them over?

• Natalie came over to play with the paddleboard and we tied her to the boat so she wouldn’t blow away?

• That time I made JR run to the farmers market but then bought a latte and refused to run back?
• We decided we had to switch to cheaper beer?
• JR kept taking swigs of Singani because he thought it was water and I refused to put it away properly?

• We visited White Pepper and Carl called the ice cubes “Titanics” and JR thought that was awesome?
• Had a big old dinner on Sea Major and had yummy pasta with all of our CFFs (cruising friends forever)?
• Leo jumped on the dinghy for a quick minute?

• We got ice cream twice (only twice!) at that boardwalk place?

• Got packages at the office for like 8 days straight?
• JR got his pole spear and dive knife?
• Natalie passed out straws (or utensils) whenever she heard a Journey song?

• We went to Nino’s for pizza with Sea Major and I was the only one who drank beer!?

• We ate at Maryland Fried Chicken and they had the best hot sauce ever?

• We went to that Nautical Flea Market with Natalie and Mitchell and it was a bust?

• We saw that rainbow from end to end ON the drawbridge in Ft. Pierce?

• I left to go do laundry and JR got really distracted with his weather faxes?
• We saw that Christmas tree that had Baby’s Breath in it?
• Natalie and Mitchell inadvertently taught us about the stages of being drunk?  I’m consistently a 4!
• Leo fell in love with outside water?
• JR got all of his beautiful, long, blonde hair hacked off?

Yeah, I remember living in Florida for a month…  It was kinda’ rad <3
