December 7th and 8th, 2013
We already told ya what our day was like getting here, here’s a few pics of things we did while visiting St. Augustine! Enjoy!

One of the first signs we saw as we stepped foot on land, A1A! Had Vanilla Ice stuck in our heads all weekend long!

Visited the Castillo de San Marcos. A very cool (and tough) fort that we saw as we were sailing into St. Augustine.

Here’s us at the fort. You gotta love the photo skills of a passing stranger! I guess she wanted to be in the pic too!

Lots of re-enacting all over town. These dudes were dressed as Englishmen about to fire a cannon. Fun fact: they pack the black powder down with white bread so after they shoot it, a million birds come to eat the bread. Too funny!

A church near Flagler College. Lots of the buildings were old and beautiful! St. Augustine is the oldest town in America! Take that, Jamestown!

St. Augustine Municipal Marina had the most crowded dinghy dock we’ve seen so far. It was quite an adventure going in and out at night!

We caught a beautiful night time parade celebrating the English acquisition of the Castillo (or something like that!)

Then we hit up JP Henley’s and they had one of JR’s favorite beers on tap, Arragant Bastard, so we got all sauced up :)

The next day was foooooooogy! Here’s Journey on her mooring as we went to town to meet some friends!

We met up with our friends, Dan and Jaye, who we know from Annapolis. They gave us a tour of the town in their pirate attire! How many of you can say you had a pleasurable and personal pirate tour of St. Augustine!?
