Picture Post (mini): Something About Southport…

I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about Southport, North Carolina.  We really liked this spot on the way south, probably because the people were so nice, so we wanted to hit it again heading north.  It didn’t disappoint :)  It’s just a quiet, little town with beautiful, old homes, and fantastic front porches.  People ride around on bikes, have a gorgeous view of the ICW, good choices for food (and ice cream!), great sailing on the Cape Fear River, close proximity to an inlet, and really nice people.  Here are some highlights…

A sign at Fishy Fishy. You know you're in a beach town when you see a sign like this. Makes me miss George Town <3

A sign at Fishy Fishy (get the Key West Lemonade if you ever eat here.  Just. Do. It.) You know you’re in a beach town when you see a sign like this.

Can you tell it was a full moon, high tide? They were ready for it!
